game | Classic Game Room HD VECTREX console review!

Classic Game Room HD VECTREX console review!

Classic Game Room HD reviews the VECTREX video game console from GCE (General Consumer Electric) from 1982. The Vectrex is unique in that is plays video games on its own screen with vector based graphics giving a very crisp image that fans of old school games from the late 70's and early 80's should enjoy. The Vectrex has some excellent games like Berzerk and Scramble, but not as many as the venerable Atari 2600 or ColecoVision. New games are being released for the Vectrex from homebrew developers and the game system is surprisingly easy to find and collect today thanks to eBay. Vectrex games come with an overlay that fits over the screen and gives a splash of color and lists the controls. Classic Game Room HD reviews new and classic games, we're now adding Vectrex video game reviews to the video game review show. For retro gaming fans and old school gamers the Vectrex is a unique and fun collectible that takes up a bit of space but it's worth it!

game | SEGA Arcade game Tac Scan 1982

SEGA Arcade game Tac Scan 1982

This is game play from the 1982 SEGA vector graphics arcade game TacScan. To my knowledge, this is the first video game to feature real-time perspective changes (camera position changes).Game info:As your squadron loses ships, you can add more ships from your inventory (shown at top left). You can also catch ships that periodically appear moving from the top of the screen toward the bottom. The configuration of the squadron changes as a new squad leader is socketed into position (at the front center of the squad). If your squad leader is killed and a new one takes the front center position, the new squad leader will automatically implement a new configuration. Be sure to eliminate snipers ASAP. Keep in mind that the faster you fire, the shorter your shot range. Keep calm and lower your firing rate to achieve optimum distance and accuracy. When navigating the tunnels, watch the indicators that surround the squadron: if a red vertical bar appears on either side, that means you're getting dangerously close to the edge of the tunnel. This game is designed to create tension. The key is to stay focused and keep from letting the stress get to you.If playing on the M.A.M.E. emulator: - Set resolution to 1024x768 or higher - Gamma Correction = 1.70 - Vector Beam = 1.70Left mouse button = fire Right mouse button = add ship from inventory

game | TRON ARCADE GAME 1982 BALLY MIDWAY retro oldskool video game

TRON ARCADE GAME 1982 BALLY MIDWAY retro oldskool video game

Sorry - sound is not optimal. Tron is an arcade video game manufactured and distributed by Bally Midway in 1982. It is based on the Walt Disney Productions motion picture Tron released in the same year. Events from this science fiction film were the inspirations for four subgames of which the game consists. It features some characters and equipment known from the film, eg the Light Cycles, battle tanks, the InputOutput Tower. The game earned more than the film's initial release. The player in the role of Tron has to beat four subgames, each at 12 increasingly difficult levels. All four segments of one level must be completed before continuing with the next level.
