Classic Game Room reviews the JOUST 2: SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST arcade machine at PAPA World Headquarters (Professional and Amateur Pinball Association) from Williams released in 1986. Joust 2 is a one or two player game that costs 1 token (or quarter) and allows you to choose which level of the game you would like to start at. Starting earlier gets more points early on to increase the odds of getting extra birds. Flap your wings with the arcade button and transform into a pegasus for some of those ground battles in tight spaces, Joust 2 mixes up the traditional Joust videogame formula with cool level designs and awesome artwork.

Classic Game Room reviews DISCS OF TRON arcade machine from Bally Midway released to the arcades in 1983. Based on the 1982 science fiction movie from Disney starring Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, Cindy Morgan, Dan Shor, and David Warner, Discs of Tron has gamers playing as Tron during the Frisbee death duel battle scene. The other Tron arcade game had light cycles, tanks and the computer battle but this one has death frisbees!! This CGR review of Discs of Tron, the arcade machine, features the rare sit down cabinet version of Discs of Tron, rarely seen in arcades anymore.

RE-UPLOADED due to an issue with the credits music. I apologize in advance. So, how do I follow up my BIGGEST COUNTDOWN EVER? Well, since this is February, the month of love, let's talk about something *I* love...arcade games. Specifically, old-school arcade games. These games were simple, addictive, and just plain fun...well, the good ones were, anyway. so here's my list of what I think are the best arcade games of the 1980's.Also, I tested out a new transition and number text style. Let me know if I should stick with it.All games, media, and characters shown are property of the original copyright owners. This Robotron 2084 meets Berzerk meets Gauntlet arcade game packs serious challenge as your explorer runs around collecting chests and shooting nasties with an auto-pistol that needs constant reloading. Varkon review. http:www.ClassicGameRoom.com Shop CGR shirts, hats, mugs & gear! http:www.CGRstore.com Classic Game Room reviews VARKON arcade game pinball machine from Williams released in 1982. One of only 90 Varkon machines ever produced, this amazing model lives at the Professional and Amateur Pinball Association World Headquarters in Pittsburgh. Varkon is a pinball machine crammed into an upright arcade game cabinet and played in a mirror with joysticks for flipper controls. Plays like a pinball machine, tasts like a videogame. Varkon is a rarity and very cool because of it, also the art design, title and gameplay are truly unique and very detailed. It handles in a unique way because the gameplay is basically reversed and the joysticks change the characteristics of ball handling. This CGR review of Williams pinball machine Varkon has gameplay from Varkon arcade game showing Varkon game play footage in HD in this Varkon review. Filmed at Pinburgh 2011.

game | Classic Game Room JAGUAR XJ220 for Sega CD review

Classic Game Room JAGUAR XJ220 for Sega CD review

Classic Game Room reviews JAGUAR XJ220 for Sega CD from 1993, a racing game where you drive the exotic supercar in a variety of races all over the world! The Jaguar XJ-220 was a competing vehicle to the Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959 (ironically, both of those cars were in Test Drive II The Duel). It may not have sold well due to it's obscene price tag and sales issues but it does star in its very own video game on the Sega Genesis add-on, the Sega CD (or Mega CD). Jaguar XJ220 is an Out Run style driving game with good controls and excellent 16-bit graphics that, like a real Jaguar, suffers from a few issues that prevent it from being great. Bizarre cornering and bland track design make this game less exciting than it could be yet it remains playable and fun. This CGR review of Jaguar XJ220 for Sega CD has gameplay from Jaguar XJ 220 showing this supercar racing video game play in action.

This is a Japanese release that was denied to fans in the West. A Playstation version of X-Men vs. Street Fighter is available for PS1 but it was condensed. Tag Team X-Men and Street Fighter gameplay is similar to Marvel vs. Capcom and Marvel vs. Capcom 3. X-Men characters are Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm and more.
