Classic Game Room reviews the GAME BOY GAMECUBE adapter for Nintendo GameCube released in 2003 from Nintendo. It sits beneath the Nintendo GameCube and connects via a high speed port so that you can play original Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance videogames on your GameCube on a big screen television! Hear the audio in stereo clarity that you won't get on the GBA or GameBoy handheld video game consoles. The Game Boy Player works with a software boot disc that is required for the system to work. This CGR video review of the Nintendo Game Boy Player for GameCube shows GameBoy gameplay played through the Game Boy Player (games shown are Mario Kart Super Circuit, F Zero and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe). Unlike the Super Game Boy for SNES, the Game Boy Player will play Game Boy Color and GBA videogame game paks.

game | Video Game Controller Evolution From Master System To Xbox 360 Retro To Modern

Video Game Controller Evolution From Master System To Xbox 360 Retro T...

This is a quick video on the topic of product design and how video game controllers have evolved over the years. In this video I focus on Sega and Microsoft controllers as they appear to stem from the same family (Note the Microsoft logo on the front of your Dreamcast). I look at how the design has evolved and developed from one console generation to the next. From the very basic 2 button Master System controller right up to the current generation wireless Xbox 360 controller.**Note to all SonyNintendoVectrex fanboys** This is a video about Sega and Microsoft peripherals and the product design history specific to these companies products. Other manufacturers products are not relevant here. But why you ask? Well, I am not looking at who inventeddeveloped what or who introduced which feature into the console market first. I am only looking at Sega and Microsoft's design choices from one generation to the next. I am not saying who or what (if any) external influence affected their design choices. Product design, branding and marketing are topics I personally find very interesting. I collect peripherals from all the manufacturers and for most consoles, both old and new. I am NOT a fanboy. Maybe in future I'll make a video about Sony or Nintendo controller evolution.**Note to all internet experts** I didn't forget the Mega Drive six button controller. I know it exists! I own a few variations of the 6 button Mega Drive controller. Unfortunately I didn't have an official Sega controller to hand at the time of making this vid so decided to omit it and keep the video streamlined. This goes for the SG-1000 controller, Master System Control Stick, Mega Drive Mega Fire and any other official variant of a standard controller (with the exception of the 3D Saturn controller). The button in the middle of a 360 controller is called the Guide button. The smaller Saturn controller was the original controller for the system. The Saturn came out in Japan before NA and this is the controller it shipped with. The Duke (big fat Xbox original controller) was the original Xbox Controller. The Xbox came out in NA before Japan and this was the controller it shipped with.Unfortunately I've now had to switch comments for this video off. This is because some people believe it is acceptable to flame bait, troll and post abusiverude remarks. I'm really sorry if you have a genuine comment to make. I hate having to do this but it simply became too time consuming and difficult to continually moderate and remove abusiveidiotic comments from fanboys and 5 year olds. Thanks for watching!

Heavily modified Nintendo 64. Switchless, remote, backlit, RGB N64 mod...

My N64. Hope you like it. PLEASE READ:FAQ: This is the only one I will make :-) Sorry, but I didn't put this video here to entice people to buy or commission me to make them an N64 like this. I just thought I'd share what I have made.HOW LONG DID IT TAKE?: 4 months of pretty much all of my free time. That sounds like a long time, but there was a lot of trial and error involved as most of the mods in here have not been done before (at least, not to my knowledge). I didn't copy anyone for this mod. The only thing that can probably be considered "mainstream" (from a modder's perspective) is the RGB mod. This is well documented on the internet.WHY DIDN'T YOU BUILD THE TRANSMITTER INTO THE CONTROLLER?: Didn't want to :-) Plain and simple. I didn't want the system to be reliant on a single controller - and I didn't want to mod a controller anyway because by the time I'd finished the actual console, I was sick to death of the whole project ;-)WHY DIDN'T YOU MAKE THE CONTROLLERS WIRELESS?: 1) I like the look of the asymmetrical single controller port. 2) You have to sacrifice the Controller Pak slot. Too many games use the Controller Pak to save. So I'm not doing this.WILL YOU TAKE IT APART AGAIN AND SHOW ME HOW YOU DID IT?: Nope :-) I don't want to run a modding helpline for the rest of my life. Sorry. Thanks for watching.

8 FAILED Video Game Consoles That Never Made it to America

DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THESE 8 RARE INTERNATIONAL CONSOLES? While North America has plenty of great game exclusives, Japan is the true capital of video games and has had many consoles released over the years. This is TheGamer's list of 8 Game consoles that never made it to America. What console do you wish you could try out? Submit it to us here: https:goo.glformshn6vV1Ic2PbfGnhx2------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------America often gets a lot of the big game console releases, but through the years, there have been multiple times where a console was released exclusively in another country and never made it stateside. A majority of these consoles weren’t very popular while others were just precursors to some of our favorite consoles of all-time.One of Nintendo’s first ever home consoles was released in Japan and known as the Nintendo Color TV-Game 6. It features one game with multiple variations of the game and was essentially a version of Pong. Casio released a console in Japan catered exclusively to girls. The design was female oriented along with the games and special features. The Bandai Playdia was a home console filled with educational games and released exclusively to Japan. The Amstrad GX4000 was Britain’s answer to the console wars, but it failed miserably due to cheaper computer games at the time. The FM Towns Marty was able to play Cd-Rom games, but lacked the graphics capabilities that made the Playstation a huge hit. The NEC PC-FX has a great look and controller but failed to capitalize on the games and never took off like it should have. Sega’s first console was the SG-1000 and has many differences from the Sega Master System and Sega Genesis we grew to know and love. The Game Boy faced international competition in the form of the Bandai Wonderswan, but the portable console came out just a little too late to make a big impact. game | Classic Game Room NINTENDO DS LITE review

Classic Game Room NINTENDO DS LITE review

Classic Game Room HD reviews the NINTENDO DS LITE handheld video game console! From Nintendo, the DS Lite has brighter screens and weighs less than the previous model but retains the Gameboy Advance slot that was f----n removed in the Nintendo DSi. What!? They removed one of the best features?? Yes, yes the did. And the penalty is that CGR recommends the Nintendo DS Lite because of the MASSIVE library of awesome (and many not-so-awesome) games available on Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advance media. The Nintendo DS (all models) have sole more than 115 million units putting it up there with Playstation 2 PS2 numbers. The PSP isn't the portable Playstation 2, this thing is. The DS had a wide, eclectic array of software titles available for it. Awesome Nintendo exclusives, RPG games, adventure, 2D side scrollers, strategy and puzzle games. It's built like a tank, has excellent battery life and even comes with a sometimes-cool touchscreen. This CGR review of the Nintendo DS Lite has footage of the DS showing what this piece of Nintendo hardware looks like in HD video.

CGR Undertow NINTENDO GAMECUBE Video Game Console Review

Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of the Nintendo GameCube hardware. The Nintendo GameCube is aptly named because it's all about games, and it's a cube. This is a very uniquely shaped and designed console, and it's also one of the slickest. The Nintendo GameCube was the second-most powerful console of its generation, and it's Nintendo's least successful home console. This video review features footage of the Nintendo GameCube and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.
