(Source: Exidy Crossbow Arcade Game Review. Crossbow is one of Exidy's best light gun arcade games. In 1983 it was up against Dragon's Lair Gyruss and Crystal Castles for your coins. Using digitized speech and a realistic crossbow attached to the arcade machine, Crossbow was an instant eye catcher at the arcades.Follow me on Twitter: http:twitter.comMamecadeJoin me on Facebook: http:www.facebook.compagesMamecade152233241501919Visit my website: http:www.Mamecade.comJoin the Forum Community: http:forums.mamecade.comMusic: Welcome to the show- Kevin MacLeod. RE-UPLOADED due to an issue with the credits music. I apologize in advance. So, how do I follow up my BIGGEST COUNTDOWN EVER? Well, since this is February, the month of love, let's talk about something *I* love...arcade games. Specifically, old-school arcade games. These games were simple, addictive, and just plain fun...well, the good ones were, anyway. so here's my list of what I think are the best arcade games of the 1980's.Also, I tested out a new transition and number text style. Let me know if I should stick with it.All games, media, and characters shown are property of the original copyright owners. game | Donkey Kong Original Full Playthrough JP Arcade Version

Donkey Kong Original Full Playthrough JP Arcade Version

This is emulated with MAME 0.119+. The American version only has the 1st and last levels, but the Japanese version also has the 2nd and 3rd. The name of this ROM is "Japan set 1".There were a couple mistakes, but this was quick to complete compared to my many other videos. I'm sorry if my lack of skill in this game doesn't please you enough.HOW HIGH CAN YOU GET?LEVEL 1: 25m: Jump over barrels, or smash them with hammers, and climb ladders to reach Pauline.LEVEL 2: 50m: Reach Donkey Kong's floor by climbing moving ladders and passing conveyer belts while avoiding fires, pies, and Donkey Kong, himself.LEVEL 3: 75m: Use elevators and ladders while avoiding fires and springboards to reach Pauline's floor.LEVEL 4: 100m: Use ladders to climb and break all of the pegs, while avoiding or destroying puffy flames with hammers.. Once you break all of the pegs, Donkey Kong will fall, and Jumpman, a.k.a. Mario, will be reunited for good. And then the game starts RIGHT over again... *sigh* --------------In Levels 2 - 4, you can collect items for extra points. These are Pauline's sunhat, umbrella, and purse. The Bonus at the top-right corner of the screen is also a time limit. 1 second of time multiplied by 100 represents the Bonus points you get after beating the level. If the Bonus hits 000, you die!In Levels 1 & 4, hammers will let you break barrels in Level 1, and flames in Level 4 for a few seconds. However, you can't jump with them, and you can't climb ladders with them. Because of how they're set up in those levels, you can't even use them to hit Donkey Kong if you tried. Notice how the flames in Level 4 turn blue when you grab a hammer. It's as if you were Pac-Man and they were Ghosts.American NES Version: Arcade (US set 1) Version: --------------WOW! Over 39,000 views! I wasn't expecting this to do so well. Thanks, everyone! --------------HOLY CRAP! Over 132,000 views! I wonder if it has to do with that... particularly infamous movie known as Pixels, hmmmm...?Oh well. Love it or hate it, if you're trying to figure out where Donkey Kong came from in that movie, look no further. The things you see the characters do to get through this game in that movie may end up being different from what you see out of the game itself, here. --------------OVER 424,000 VIEWS?! Wow... Thanks, Pixels. --------------755,000+ VIEWS! --------------834,000+ VIEWS!! --------------943,000+ VIEWS!!! --------------OVER 1 MILLION VIEWS!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! THIS IS NO DOUBT MY HIGHEST-VIEWED VIDEO EVER! --------------OVER 1.5 MILLION VIEWS!!!!!4316 UPDATE: Since this video's proven to be an extremely popular video thanks to the game's appearance in Pixels, I may consider making quick playthroughs of some of the other arcade games that also showed up in that movie. I'm not really interested in seeing the movie, itself, though, but I might change my mind later. --------------OVER 2 MILLION VIEWS!!!!!!And not only that, as of this post of 7916, this, the original Donkey Kong arcade game, is now officially over 35 years old! CONGRATULATIONS! --------------OVER 3.1 MILLION VIEWS?! How is this still going so well?! --------------OH MY GOD, OVER 4.2 MILLION VIEWS?! --------------7.3 MILLION VIEWS! THIS IS STILL GOING?! --------------AHHHH! 8.7 MILLION VIEWS!!!That's it! I'm planning a new playthrough of this game. And it will show off ALL of the levels with NO DEATHS!Thanks for watching, everyone!

Some playing with the "missile at 30K dip + 2 extra tanks". I'm not a great player as some people have been able to score millions... but at least this should give you the idea of the advanced BattleZone gameplay. And what a great classic it is!

game | Arcade Game Congo Bongo 1983 Sega

Arcade Game Congo Bongo 1983 Sega

An isometric platformrun 'n jump game where Bongo the gorilla as approaches the campsite of a sleeping safari hunter and sets fire to his tent. The player takes on the role of the hunter who has vowed revenge on Bongo for this cruel prank. The game consists of four different scenes. Each is timed by a bonus counter in the upper left corner of the screen. As time passes, the bonus decreases. If the bonus counter reaches zero, a player life is lost.Primate Peak. Climb to the top to reach Bongo the gorilla, avoiding the rolling coconuts he throws at the hunter. Don't let the monkeys jump on the hunter's back, because if three manage to take hold, they will throw the hunter over the cliff. Pressing the jump button repeatedly will dislodge them. Once Bongo is reached, he will retreat to the next scene. Snake Lake. Avoid the scorpions that crawl onto the grassy area on which the hunter starts the scene and jump onto the maze-like paths, while jumping over or avoiding snakes. Jump onto the back of the submerging hippo without touching the water - this must be carefully timed as the hippo dives and surfaces - to reach Bongo.Rhino Ridge. Avoid the deadly puddles and dodge the charging rhinos by jumping over them or hiding down in the mole holes. Do not wait too long in any of the holes because a man in a headdress randomly appears in the various pits and fills them in. Once the hunter is safely past the rhino herd, climb the rock where Bongo stands to proceed to the fourth and final scene.* Lazy Lagoon. Cross the water by leaping onto floating lily pads and standing rocks, as well as riding on the backs of submerging hippos and giant fish. Once dry land is reached, a couple of rhinos will be charging back and forth, once these have been safely passed, the hunter will find Bongo sleeping on his chair next to a fire. The hunter will finally have his revenge and give Bongo the hotfoot, after which the game begins again with an increased level of difficulty. Sega released this game to compete with Nintendo's popular platform "Donkey Kong".

1991 Terminator 2 T2 Arcade Old School Game Playthrough Retro game

1991 Terminator 2 T2 Arcade Old School Game Playthrough Retro gameTerminator 2: Judgment Day is the name of an arcade game released by WMS Industries (the owners of the Williams and Midway brands) in 1991. The game is loosely based on the film of the same name. The home console versions are called T2: The Arcade Game to avoid conflict with the platform games.Arnold Schwarzenegger provided custom speech for this game. The story of the game falls in line with the movie Terminator 2: Judgment Day: to save the leader of the Human Resistance, John Connor, and his mother, Sarah, from the T-1000, a mimetic poly-alloy Terminator, bent on killing them both. The player takes the role of The Terminator, already captured and reprogrammed by the Human Resistance, and fights alongside them against Skynet in the year 2029. Eventually, The Terminator and John Connor penetrate Skynet's headquarters and destroy the system CPU. Discovering the time displacement equipment, The Terminator is sent back through time to when John was a child with the mission to protect him from the T-1000 that Skynet had also sent back. In the past, The Terminator, John, and Sarah Connor launch an attack on Cyberdyne Systems in order to prevent the development and creation of Skynet. The T-1000 catches up to the group and pursues them in a police helicopter and a liquid nitrogen truck. The Terminator is able to freeze and shatter the T-1000 with the liquid nitrogen, but, it re-liquefies itself and continues to pursue John. Ultimately, The Terminator is able to blast the T-1000 into a pool of molten steel and save John. Depending on how much damage the player inflicts at Cyberdyne, Judgment Day will either be averted or research at Cyberdyne will continue, allowing Judgment Day to possibly still happen.Developer(s) Midway (arcade) Probe (ports) Beam Software (Game Boy version) Publisher(s) Midway (arcade) Acclaim (ports) Director(s) George Petro Jack Haeger Producer(s) Neil Nicastro Ken Fedesna Designer(s) Jack E. game | MAME Rampage Original Arcade game

MAME Rampage Original Arcade game

Rampage is a 1986 arcade game by Bally Midway. Players take control of gigantic monsters trying to survive against onslaughts of military forces. Each round is completed when a particular city is completely reduced to rubble. Up to three simultaneous players control the monsters George (a King Kong-like gorilla), Lizzy (a Godzilla-like dinosaurlizard), or Ralph (a giant werewolf), created from mutated humans. They need to raze all buildings in a high-rise city to advance to the next, eating people and destroying helicopters, tanks, taxis, police cars, boats, and trolleys along the way. Monsters can jump and climb buildings, and punch enemies and buildings. Buildings also take damage when jumped on by a monster. The player receives damage from enemy bullets, grenades, shells and so forth, and from falls. Damage is recovered by eating appropriate food such as fruit, roast chicken, or soldiers. If a monster takes too much damage, it reverts back into a naked human and starts walking off the screen sideways, covering its genitals with its hands. While in this state, the player can be eaten by another player. If the player continues, the human mutates back into the monster, or flies in on a blimp if off-screen, with a full life bar.
