Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse Megadrive No Damage Boss Run

Just because I LP a game, doesn't mean I won't at some point get round to recording a boss run. I fairly enjoyed my blind run of Castle of Illusion, so I gave it another shot. It's a fairly neat, if easy game. The final boss is pretty annoying though... General Notes: a) This is being played on Hard mode. Basically, say goodbye to projectiles. You also start off with less health (turning the game into Ghouls and Ghosts, haha), theres more enemies and even some of the platforms seem to have been removed. Also, is it just me or do the first two bosses have more health? b) Bosses otherwise generally seem unaffected by the difficulty. Boss Notes: (names completely made up) Faceless Tree: Has harder to dodge acorn patterns than normal mode. It's easier to fight him by standing besides the tree. This also makes his rolling attack easier to dodge. It is entirely possible for the boss to spawn every single acorn at once, in which case you have to stand between one of them to dodge it. It's hard to do, but can be done. Thankfully this is an extremely rare attack. Jack: This guy is an asshole. The Insta-Punches he likes to pull off can really throw you. Basically.. keep ducking. Thankfully he has a set jumping pattern, so it's fairly easy to find a safespot and stay there. He has ALOT of health. It's also fairly easy to miss his head and fall into his body. As I said, this guy is an asshole. Gremlin Totem: Weird boss. Also fairly easy on normal difficulty, as you can stand directly by the totem pole and throw marbles just before they land. On hard mode, you don't GET any marbles, but by standing where I stand and jumping as each one spawns allows you to nail each Gremlin before they can pull off any attacks. Pete's Dragon: This is probably the most predictable boss in the game. He spawns in each hole, in that exact pattern, every time. So.. yeah. Memorize his pattern and he'll die very quickly. The hard part is timing yourself so you don't jump too early or too late. Oh and don't miss his head. If you happen to do that, you'll probably take damage.. and on hard mode, you don't have the hitpoints to do that. Quasimodo: I have no idea why I found this guy so hard in the Let's Play. He's simple, predictable and... I don't know. I guess you have to be pretty exact with your timing. His hitbox is also really hard to land on, and his sprite doesn't seem to be centered correctly, so if he turns round, he can hit you for apparently no reason what-so-ever. Strange. Mizrabel: Fairly tough final boss. (Not MMX5 Sigma hard of course, but for a Mickey Mouse game, she's a toughie.) Hitting her on the bottom is easy - it's the rest of her spawn spots that's difficult. I have no idea how to hit her up top without taking damage, but on the sides, it turns out you can "Ride" fireballs, which gives you that extra distance to hit her from the other side of the arena. What-ever you do, don't get "Stuck" in the middle of her fireball shield... as it is entirely possible to ride the fireballs off screen. This, being a video game, is a insta-kill. Naturally. Like with Quasimodo her hit box is fairly small for her head - missing it will result in damage. I've found the only real way to dodge her at the top is to stand off center on the top set of platforms, otherwise there isn't the time to move out of the way. That said - she didn't spawn up top once during this battle, so it was over quicker than usual.

Today, we are taking a look at the iconic Super Nintendo and 10 things you didn’t know your SNES could do.Let’s start off with the Nintendo system itself. Has yours ever changed color over the years? Well if it has, you could be one of the very lucky few who own one of the earliest production models.Next, we take a look at the peripherals. We all know about the bazookas and the pistols, but the ingenuity didn’t end there! Nope, there were tons of different things you could buy. Often times, the special controllers were a part of bundle deals, so if you didn’t know about them then, you probably won’t know about them today. How about this: did you know that the Super Nintendo could accommodate more than 2 players? We didn’t either. And there are some games to support these large amounts of players. So far, we know of a way to have 5 gamers playing simultaneously and the games you can play together. Toward the end, we’ll give you all the information you need to pick these items up.Lastly, did you know that your Super Nintendo is capable of playing online multiplayer and downloading additional games, maps, and music? Yep, Nintendo was among the first studios to bring their consoles online. Only trouble is, they didn’t bring it to America, so you probably haven’t heard about it.Script by: Stuart HallVoice Over by: Sam SkolnikEdited by: Kyle MirzaianOur Social Media: https:twitter.comthegamer_site https:www.facebook.comthegamercomOur Website http:thegamer.com
